Step use of this feature is also really easy. For Android users, you only need to press the option button (the button three lines) and select Save Page. NASA and Microsoft collaborate to project HoloLens back, but this time they plan to bring the Augmented Reality technology into space !! Imagine is not it? So, Thursday NASA and Microsoft announced Project Sidekick, an experiment that brings visual holographic Microsoft for astronauts on the International Space Station.
 
 


Astonot in ISS wear Sidekick in two different modes, namely Remote Expert Mode and Procedure Mode. Remote Expert Mode using Skype to help astronauts in space communicate with the operator on earth. By using HoloLens, operator of the earth will be able to easily see what astronauts do in space and can provide guidance, especially for more complex tasks such as repair tools.

 

NASA dan Microsoft kembali bekerjasama untuk proyek HoloLens, namun kali ini mereka berencana untuk membawa teknologi Augmented Reality tersebut ke luar angkasa!! Kebayang nggak sih? Jadi, Kamis kemarin NASA dan Microsoft mengumumkan Project Sidekick, sebuah eksperimen yang membawa visual holografis milik Microsoft untuk astronot di International Space Station.Astonot di ISS memakai Sidekick dalam dua mode yang berbeda yaitu Remote Expert Mode dan Procedure Mode. Remote Expert Mode menggunakan Skype untuk menolong astronot di ruang angkasa berkomunikasi dengan operator di bumi. Dengan menggunakan HoloLens, operator di bumi akan dapat dengan mudah melihat apa yang astronot lakukan di luar angkasa serta dapat memberikan bimbingan terutama untuk tugas yang lebih rumit seperti perbaikan alat.
Untuk Procedure Mode sendiri lebih diarahkan ke tugas mandiri seperti menciptakan pengalaman Augmented Reality. Astronot akan melihat lapisan hologram overlay di atas objek.

Proyek Sidekick ini bukan merupakan kerjasama pertama antara NASA dan Microsoft. Mereka pernah kerjasama pada proyek yang dinamakan OnSight. Proyek ini membantu NASA melihat simulasi planet Mars berbasis dari data yang dikumpulkan oleh Curiosity rover.
